it will be necessary also to amend Clause XVI in

the Letters Patent of the 14th of February, 1917,

and I enclose for your information draft amended

Letters Patent which have been prepared.

In view of the numerous amendments

which it is proposed to make in the Royal

Instructions I have considered it desirable

to give you an opportunity of seeing the

amending documents in draft form before they

are submitted to His Majesty in Council.

If you have no observations to offer on the

drafts I shall be glad if you will inform So that
